I did it. I went. I saw. I conquered. And, now I’m left with music replaying in my head, dreams awakened and four words on my brain…1)I 2)love 3)Justin 4)Bieber.
In my defence, not that I feel like I need to entirely defend my love for the Biebster…I love him not like the millions of screaming young girls that think they’re destined to be his “baby”, I love him for his talent and what millions of people around the world have fallen in love with, his Story.
He’s incredible. period. He’s also incredibly talented. I walked away with a few feelings (not including the minor headache from the 3D glasses, when was the last time or the first time for that matter that I saw a movie in 3D?!?) My feelings are this…at the end of the day, we all have our own version of some sort of fantasy about living in La La land and fame. Whatever your version of that is, mine really couldn’t be farther from Justin’s story, but he gives us all a glimmer of hope. Deep down, even though the majority of us aren’t ever going to live life in the limelight, we know that our fantasies can be, maybe, just possibly, if we’re lucky enough, if we have enough power, motivation, dedication, more luck, blah, blah blah that IT can happen. Watching a story of a dream become a reality is something every race, every profession, every ethnicity, every supposed “non-dreamer” can connect to. I don’t care how empty or absent one might say their ‘dream bank’ is, everyone’s got ‘em, big or small, we’re born to dream. He proves that we’re all destined for something and he leaves me wondering, what’s my destiny? Maybe that’s why the whole world has fallen for this 17-year old Stratford, Ont. native. He makes us all wonder what our greater purpose is, that we all have some sort of greatness awaiting us…
We go to the movies to escape; Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never is like an escape connected to one less traveled route to reality, a route we all secretly wish we find. I love Bieber for his talent and his ability to give my dreams some twinkle of hope. You go Biebs, you can definitely count me in for being one less lonely girl…
