Lets start with Aromachology Bath & Body. We officially launched the line at the One of A Kind Show at the end of March and it was a huge success for team AromaC.  We blended up a storm and made some amazing new friends and followers. Thank you to all that came out! We can officially announce that we will be at the OOAK during Christmas. We are beyond thrilled, to say the least!

Next Up: Once the hysteria died down after One of a Kind and we caught up on some much needed R&R, we moved on to dropping and sending out orders to stores and spas across, well, the world. From New York to L.A., B.C. to Toronto and even over to Saudi Arabia, Aromachology has gone global!

Here’s a snapshot of some of the new products:

The new line is delicious and nourishing in every sense of the word. From hand wash, body lotion, room spray and our adorable invention, ‘soap bites’ (the mini cubes on the left), which are meant for individual hand washing…ingenious and germ-free!

April and May have been a whirlwind of events – from entertaining Argentinian beauty editors at MoRoCo over chocolate fondue, macaroons and custom perfume, to an evening with Women in the Mining industry at Far Niente downtown, we’ve been keeping our lives very, very scented.

Somewhere in the middle and to the left somewhere we did an amazing event with the law firm we love & adore, Stikeman Elliot. While 100 women sipped cocktails and schmoozed, they also all got to blend their own custom scent and all left armed with a travel candle and a cute package of our soap bites to match their ‘personal’ scent. It has been nothing short of amazing getting to help and meet all the powerful and inspiring women in our adventures thus far.

In an attempt to make our nice little ‘catch up’ a bit breezier, here’s a snapshot of what else has been going on….

-We met Bradley Cooper a.k.a. my boyfriend (my husband digs him too, so it’s totally legit). If you don’t believe me, here’s us posing for the paparazzi during our “date night”.

p.s. yes, he’s wearing blue glasses. They match his heavenly blue sparkling eyes.

-We did a hop, skip and a jump to New York last week for a few things. We accomplished magazine desk sides, store meetings, hired a NY Aromachology Event Stylist (Hi Liz!), and our main reason for going, an unbelievable baby shower. On Saturday, we set-up our portable Perfume Bar atop the Gramercy Park Hotel and gifted all guests with their own custom bottle, who were there for the very beautiful and very pregnant, Aurelie. Between the sun shining on the rooftop and Aurelie’s undeniable ‘baby glow’, we had an amazing event and all came and went home very happy:)

In my defence, not that I feel like I need to entirely defend my love for the Biebster…I love him not like the millions of screaming young girls that think they’re destined to be his “baby”, I love him for his talent and what millions of people around the world have fallen in love with, his Story.

He’s incredible. period. He’s also incredibly talented. I walked away with a few feelings (not including the minor headache from the 3D glasses, when was the last time or the first time for that matter that I saw a movie in 3D?!?) My feelings are this…at the end of the day, we all have our own version of some sort of fantasy about living in La La land and fame. Whatever your version of that is, mine really couldn’t be farther from Justin’s story, but he gives us all a glimmer of hope. Deep down, even though the majority of us aren’t ever going to live life in the limelight, we know that our fantasies can be, maybe, just possibly, if we’re lucky enough, if we have enough power, motivation, dedication, more luck, blah, blah blah that IT can happen. Watching a story of a dream become a reality is something every race, every profession, every ethnicity, every supposed “non-dreamer” can connect to. I don’t care how empty or absent one might say their ‘dream bank’ is, everyone’s got ‘em, big or small, we’re born to dream.  He proves that we’re all destined for something and he leaves me wondering, what’s my destiny? Maybe that’s why the whole world has fallen for this 17-year old Stratford, Ont. native. He makes us all wonder what our greater purpose is, that we all have some sort of greatness awaiting us…

We go to the movies to escape; Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never is like an escape connected to one less traveled route to reality, a route we all secretly wish we find. I love Bieber for his talent and his ability to give my dreams some twinkle of hope. You go Biebs, you can definitely count me in for being one less lonely girl…

So, as things start to get going and goals for 2011 are put into action, it’s not without remembering all the places 2010 took us and all the amazing people we met along the way.  We’ve embarked on quite an incredible adventure since launching Aromachology in 2009 and as much as I found myself laughing, crying (mostly happy tears) and smiling at my Aromachology marathon of  countless memories, including pictures, videos, emails, I realized how many miles literally and figuratively Ash and I have logged in the past year.

With that being said, I rather selfishly thought, “why wouldn’t other people want to know what we’ve been up to these past few months?”…as you curate your own information to be absorbed, I thought I’d put it out in the universe and if you freely decide to use your time learning about our world, I hope you enjoy it. I hope to continue to share the exciting and not so exciting moments with you all, giving you a R-E-A-L glimpse into what it’s like starting, running and growing a business. An opportunity that comes with lots of ups and downs. Enjoy our updates, with all its humility and genuinity… and the race begins!!

Here is the short version of the update:

First, is the Perfume Party mania that we have going on … Thursday night wine and cheese, Bridal Showers, Baby showers, Corporate parties … everyone seems to want the Perfume Bar at there event! What’s next? Bat Mitzvahs?

Second, we have a new Team -mate … our very own Aroma-tern: JACLYN!

Everyone give her a warmly scented welcome!!!

And Last but DEFINITELY not least … our new Bath & Body line!!!   We are in love – what do you think?!!   The first to carry it in Canada will be La Merceria, AT,  Madison Mackenzie, PoshShop, Upper Lane, Nesters & House Warmings … and in the US check out Exhale Spa!!
